The Bravery Foundation harnesses the expertise and dedication of highly trained Canadian volunteers to deliver rapid-response humanitarian aid to victims of war in Ukraine. Our mission is to swiftly provide emergency assistance and essential medical supplies to those facing the most urgent needs.

Our resource network consists of Canadian, American and British-trained paramedics all boasting years of experience and extensive medical training. Leveraging their expertise and connections with distributors of medical equipment and supplies, we ensure swift and effective assistance reaches the hospital in Rivne, Ukraine and other victims of the war in Ukraine. These efforts underscore our commitment to achieving tangible results and making a meaningful impact on the ground.

DISPLACED UKRAINIANS

Through the Okanagan Ukrainian Hub, our foundation serves as a bridge, connecting displaced Ukrainians with vital local community resources. We collaborate closely with other volunteer groups in the Okanagan and are honored to be a partner of the United Way BC.

It's important to note that many Canadians may not realize that the majority of Ukrainians arriving in Canada are classified as temporary displaced people rather than refugees. Unlike refugees, displaced people do not have access to government programs upon arrival in Canada. This is why the Bravery Foundation is dedicated to establishing a robust support system for Ukrainian displaced individuals. One advantage for displaced Ukrainians is that they are granted a three-year work visa upon arrival, and their children immediately qualify for public education.

VOLUNTEERS IN UKRAINE
CRA Charitable Tax Receipt Issued

The Bravery Foundation stands firmly behind the brave Canadian volunteers who selflessly travel to Ukraine, leaving their families behind to aid those in dire need. These courageous individuals often resign from their jobs and journey to a foreign land to assist those in need. Our commitment is to ensure that our volunteers and their families do not suffer financial hardship as they dedicate themselves to helping victims of war.

Funds raised through this initiative are allocated towards covering the expenses our volunteers incur, including airline tickets, hotel accommodations, and food. Additionally, these funds assist, when needed, in meeting mortgage and bill payments, safeguarding both volunteers and their families from falling into poverty during this noble endeavor.
